Navy blue eyeliner certainly makes have a flashback. Suddenly I’m 4 feet tall again staring up at poofy hair and bright shadow, and being from Brooklyn, accents to boot! But navy eyeliner doesn’t have to send you back in time. It can look super cute and really make your eyes pop. Get navy right with these quick tips! Tip 1: Navy shades work well on pretty much all skin tones, so go ahead and play with them! If you’re daunted by the hue, stay away from bright navy and opt for one with a little gray or charcoal. When you smudge it out, it has a cool, smokey effect.Tip 2: You don’t have to outline your entire eye in only navy. It makes basic black a bit more interesting when you use it as an accent. If you want to line both your upper and lower lids, take a black liner and trace along your lashes. Then use a navy with some shimmer or hint of silver to line your bottom lashes. Smudge it out a bit for a sparkly look that will make your eyes pop.Tip 3: If you don’t mind standing out, sweep a neutral shadow on your upper lid and trace a thin line of navy on your lower lash line. Smudge it a bit and finish with two coats of black mascara. This look works well if you want to play up your lips.
