Give your brow some WOW

STEP ONE – Shape: Tweezer out stray brows. After a bath or shower is best because the pores are open and plucking hurts less.

But pluck in the direction of the hair growth. Remove unsightly hairs between brows and under the brow’s outer edge.

Create an arch and the brow should taper in, creating a thinner line at the outside.

La Tweez tweezers, with built-in LED light, help you see what you are doing . If still nervous, then go to a salon where a therapist can shape your brows.

Otherwise have them waxed or try threading – a traditional Indian method where cotton is used to pluck brows.

Both methods give a strong, fluid shape. Waxing costs from 10, threading from 5.

STEP TWO – Define: Sparse or very light brows need defining. There are many ways to do this but choose your powder or pencil with care – black brows can look too harsh on blondes so try light brown or taupe.

Benefit’s Brow Zings comes in three shades and contains powder and wax to keep brows in shape, plus brushes and tweezers .

Rimmel’s Professional Eyebrow Pencil, with blending brush, is another great buy .

Also try Avon’s Glimmer Stick Brow Definer – it has a fine nib and the gel-like product is easy to apply. Avon’s Brow Enhancer has fibres that cling to your hairs, making them appear thicker for a dramatic look.
