Easy step-by-step guide to the perfect shimmering pout

POUTS are packing a big punch – and the more dramatic the better.

Juicy, glossy, bright red lips are all the rage for this spring and summer.

Here is a step-by-step guide by Max Factor make-up supremo CAROLINE BARNES in how to nail the perfect luscious lips.

1. IT is important to create a good base for a stand-out lip look.

Stage one … apply a foundation

Dab a cream foundation, such as Maybelline Pure Liquid Mineral Foundation or Collection 2000 3-In-1 Foundation, into your lips to create this base.

2. LIP stains are a great way to create a bold look. Try Max Factor’s Lipfinity Lip Tint Pen which gives a kissable bold colour.

Stage two … lip stain to give some bold colour

We used the Royal Plum shade to create beautiful red lips. Or try a lip balm such as Benefit Benetint.

3. FOR an added bit of oomph, you can add a gloss over the top of your already red lips.

Stage three … get glossy and experiment with colour

Experiment with different colours. You could try an orange over red to create a really luxurious pout.

4. IF you want an ultra-glamorous shimmering look then try out a multi-reflective gloss.

Stage four … finish off with multi-reflective gloss
